Model Pemberian Imunisasi Ulang Campak pada Anak

Outbreak of measles still occurs in Indonesia although immunization coverage were high, 80-90%. The age of the cases was shift to the older children,1-4 years and 4-5 years old. From the total cases 20-30% of the cases had received basic immunization of measles. Departement of Health has a program of re-immnuzation of measles in 1999 to the primary school children from grade I until grade IV. Therefore, there is a need to have a study of antibody immune response against re-immunization of measles to the children. The objective of this study is to know the the age of the children who still susceptible against infection of the virus, and ti know the effectiveness of the re-immunization. In addition, this study is also wanted determine what dependent variable will influence the immune response. The study is divided by two phases of studies. Phase I is a cross-sectional study with the population study of children 1-12 years old. Phase II, is a quasi experimen with the population study of the group children who still susceptible after re-immunization. The chi-square quasi were used to analyze the group of children who still susceptible after basic immunization, and to analyze whether re-immunization will increase the proportion of the influences of the dependent variable against the immune response of the children after re-imunization. T-test, Anova and logistic regression were also used to analyze the relationship between dependent and independent variable.
